How a website project runs
Every project starts with what the site needs to do and who it's for. I'll recommend WordPress, Shopify or a custom build, explain why, and send a fixed quote with the scope written down.
You can follow the build on a private preview link and ask for changes as it takes shape. Nothing goes live until it's tested and you've signed it off.
After launch, a support plan keeps the site updated, backed up and checked every month, by the developer who built it.
What it costs
Every project gets a fixed quote before any work starts. For a typical price now, answer a few quick questions.
How I work
- 1.
Understand the job
I review what you have and what you need, then recommend a clear way forward.
- 2.
Agree the plan
A fixed quote or a monthly plan, with everything agreed in writing.
- 3.
Build and test
You review progress on a private preview. Nothing goes live until it's tested.
- 4.
Look after it
Updates, backups and monitoring once it's live, with a short report every month.
Questions
WordPress, Shopify or a custom build: which do I need?
It depends on what the site has to do and who will update it. Shopify suits most online shops, WordPress suits sites built around content, and a custom build makes sense when neither fits. I'll recommend one and explain why.
Can I update the site myself?
Yes. You'll be able to edit pages, images and products yourself, and I'll show your team how before launch.
